These terms apply to purchases made through our online store and your use of our website.

We supply customers within Australia only. Our store is hosted on Shopify.

Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including those under the Australian Consumer Law.

Product selection and compatibility

Please read the product description, specifications and available options carefully before ordering. Compatibility can depend on the exact engine, transmission, controller, software and other components used in your build.

Confirm your requirements with an experienced installer. If you need clarification about a specific product we sell, contact us before purchasing.

We remain responsible for the accuracy of our product descriptions and any specific suitability advice we provide. A customer’s responsibility to check their requirements does not remove those obligations.

Unless expressly stated in the listing, purchasing a component does not include every part or service required to complete a conversion.

Installation and vehicle use

Transmission conversions and performance modifications require appropriate skills, equipment and configuration. Products must be installed and used in accordance with their specifications and relevant instructions.

Purchasing a product does not itself establish that a modified vehicle complies with road registration, engineering, emissions or other applicable requirements. Please confirm these requirements for your vehicle and intended use.

We are not responsible for damage caused by incorrect installation, wiring, configuration, misuse or operation outside a product’s intended specifications. This does not exclude responsibility for faulty products, inaccurate descriptions or other matters for which we are legally responsible.

Prices and payment

Prices are displayed in Australian dollars. Applicable taxes and delivery charges are shown before you complete checkout.

Payment must be received before goods are dispatched. Available payment methods are displayed at checkout.

Prices may change for future purchases. We will not increase the price of an existing order without your agreement.

Orders and availability

Please provide accurate contact, billing and delivery information when ordering.

Any stated lead times, preorder conditions or special-order requirements should be reviewed before purchase. If we become aware of an issue affecting supply or timing, we will contact you with the available options.

If a material pricing or listing error affects your order, we will explain the issue and seek your agreement on how to proceed. We will not substitute a different product or charge an additional amount without your agreement.

If we cannot supply an item, we will refund the payment for that item and any associated delivery charges that no longer apply. Your legal rights relating to delayed or failed supply remain unaffected.

Changes, cancellations and returns

Contact us promptly if you need to change or cancel an order. We cannot guarantee that a request can be accommodated once dispatch, special ordering or custom work has commenced.

Changes, cancellations, returns and faulty-product claims are handled under our Returns and Refunds Policy, subject to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Technical information and support

Our blog and technical guides provide general information. They are not an individual installation plan or confirmation that a particular combination of parts is suitable for your build.

Our contact service is for enquiries about specific products you intend to purchase from us and support relating to existing 8speed.au orders. We do not offer general build planning or technical support for products purchased elsewhere.

Privacy enquiries and requests concerning your legal rights can also be directed to us.

Purchases from dealers and other retailers

These terms apply to purchases made directly through 8speed.au. Where you purchase goods or conversion services from an independent dealer or another retailer, your purchase agreement is with that business.

Updates to these terms

We may update these terms for future transactions. Updates will not retrospectively reduce your rights or change the agreed terms of an existing order without your agreement.
